A few of the attractions that will be included in this trip are the Monument of Martyrs, Notre Dame d'Afrique, the Kasbah quarter, and the Ketchaoua Mosque.
The Monument of Martyrs was built in the 1980s in recognition of the 20th anniversary of Algeria's independence. This magnificent structure is uniquely designed and has three statues of soldiers standing around it's base signifying three different stages of their freedom struggle. Another attraction is the Notre Dame d'Afrique which is a church that was built around 1858. The Kasbah quarter is a section of Algiers that dates back to the 17th century and is home to many of Algier's famous attractions, which many include mosques. The last example of sites that the winner will be visiting is the Ketchaoua Mosque. This mosque is located in the Kasbah Quarter and was transformed into a cathedral in the 16th century. The cathedral was later converted back into a mosque.
